Why is BayTech changing Products?
UL489 branch circuit breakers meet a more stringent short circuit test of 5000amps. The breakers used in the past are tested to 2000amps short circuit.
The products purchased in the past are perfectly safe and all certifications are active and valid. Warranty and repairs are still active. What products are effected?Any RPC, RPS, PDU or ATS which brings in 30 amps and splits into two or more circuits.
What products are not effected?Any RPC, RPS, PDU or ATS which has a 20 amp or less feed. All ATS11's.
What products products will replace these products? ATS12 and ATS12A with the ATS23 RPC with MRP (Modular Rack Power) RPS with MSP (Modular Sensor Power) PDU with MDP (Modular Distributed Power)
Will I lose functionality? No, in fact you are going to really like the modular product.

What process should be used to crossover existing BayTech Models? Customer Service and BayTech's regional representatives have been working with customers for several months to notify and accomplish this task. For additional enquiries please contact customer service @ 800-523-2702 -or- 228-563-7334. Email request can be sent to support@baytech.net. What are the downsides change? Larger units will be needed to support the UL489 breaker. Slight cost increase, the UL 489 breaker cost approximately 8.5 times the other breaker. Fortunately this is only one of many components in a power strip. What are the upsides? Modular units will allow BayTech to configure units with different receptacle mixes on the fly. Customers will be able to drill down to the exact receptacle mix requred for their specific application. What will be new? There are 4 basic products, the MMP, MRP, MSP and MDP. The MMP will be our first product to have all metered and controlled outlets. .
