Bay Technical Associates, Inc. was founded in 1976 to develop and manufacture specialized data collection and communications equipment for agencies of the federal government. In the early 1980's, BayTech established the Data Communications Products Division to pursue commercial markets using its technology base. Some of the initial products were print sharers, data multiplexers, and multi-port controllers that found their way into a variety of large and small businesses throughout the world. Many of these original products are still in use with continued volume sales for recurring as well as new applications. In support of today's networking environment we have expanded and improved our product line to include remote power controls, data acquisition controllers, and high speed data switches. All of our products are designed to operate in a myriad of environments, from retail stores to industrial floors, from one-person shops to Dow Jones conglomerates.

BayTech provides today's businesses with a means of controlling and monitoring computer and network equipment located remotely or in large data center environments. BayTech manufactures solutions for:
- remotely rebooting equipment
- monitoring power going to the equipment and how much power the equipment is using
- simple power distribution
- monitoring environmental conditions surrounding the equipment
- console access to servers, switches, routers, power management devices, and other equipment
- data switching, acquisition, and collection
